I am a writer of small tall tales and an illustrator of oddly beautiful things.
I spend most of my time lurking in libraries or hidden in bookshops. My TBR pile holds a striking similarity to a certain leaning tower.

I've always been drawn to items that hold a story; beads torn from a wedding dress, a chipped teapot lovingly placed, a horrible guady clock that sat in your grandparents' house.
I want my illustrations to leave you with that kind of sentimental feeling.

My writing started as twisted fairytales for my children. I wanted my women to be dashing knights, fearless princesses with a sword or a pointy needle, and, yes, on occasion, the somewhat angry witch.
These have evolved into a short story collection and a wonderfully wicked witchy novel.
